Content Creator (Part-Time)
About the Role
Bob’s Auto Gleam is a premium automotive detailing and restyling shop in Culver City, CA, specializing in ceramic coatings, paint protection film, and window tint. We’re looking for a part-time Content Creator to shoot and manage the short-form video content that drives our ad and organic social growth.
This is a hands-on, on-site role — you’ll be filming real jobs, real clients, and real cars in the shop, not working from stock footage or a studio.
Details
- Location: Culver City, CA (on-site at the shop)
- Schedule: 1–2 days per week, in person
- Commitment: ~15 hours/week, done efficiently — we care about output, not hours logged
- Type: Part-time, contract or hourly (flexible based on fit)
What You’ll Do
- Shoot high-quality ad creatives and organic content on-site (talking-head, B-roll, process walkthroughs, client reactions/testimonials)
- Send raw/organized footage to our editor promptly and in a usable format
- Post approved content across our social channels on schedule
- Help brainstorm and pitch new content concepts and hooks — you’re a creative partner, not just a camera operator
- Bring AI/automation experience to speed up parts of the workflow (e.g., captioning, editing assists, content repurposing, scheduling tools)
What We’re Looking For
- A strong eye for short-form video (Reels/TikTok-style) — lighting, framing, pacing
- Comfortable directing real clients and techs on camera, getting natural, unscripted moments
- Organized enough to manage a content pipeline: shoot → hand off to editor → post → track what’s live
- Some working knowledge of AI tools for content or automation (video editing AI, caption generation, scheduling/workflow tools, etc.)
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to get a full week’s worth of content in 1–2 focused shoot days
- Bonus: experience in automotive, home services, or another local-service-business content niche
